IS THE STUDENT STRUGGLING IN SAXON?

YES: Dr. Shormann recommends switching to Shormann Math now. Read the section titled, "Lessons 1-60" here: Should I Switch to Shormann Algebra 1

NO: See the two options below

  • Option 1: Switch to Shormann Alebra 1 Now: Because Shormann Algebra 1 teaches many concepts not taught in Saxon, including 1/2 credit of geometry, computer math, and over 100 Algebra 1 level PSAT, SAT, and ACT practice questions.all students must start with lesson 1 and complete all lessons as instructed.
  • Option 2: Finish Saxon Algebra 1, then start Shormann Algebra 2 right away. To provide an easier transition to Shormann Math, have your student watch the DIVE video lecture for each lesson and follow all the steps on the Student Instruction sheet on page 6 in the DIVE Teacher Guide.
