Integrated Chemistry & Physics vs Chemistry

Integrated Chemistry & Physics (ICP) is an 8/9th grade introductory chemistry and physics course that lays a foundation for Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. It is similar to Physical Science but has more introductory chemistry which better prepares students for the chemical processes taught in Biology.

Chemistry is a 10th/11th grade course. Ideally, both courses should be taken. However, if Biology has been completed, most states will not accept ICP for a high school science credit. This page has our recommended course sequence: DIVE Science
