How to use Shormann Math in a CO-OP.

Many co-ops successfully use Shormann Math eLearning courses to provide daily instruction and support at home. Most co-ops meet one or two days per week. If your are a school (students meet 4-5 days per week), see Shormann Math for Schools.

At Home
Before attending class each week, students complete reading assignments, video lectures, and practice sets in the eLearning campus. Each time an assignment is completed the student can email the teacher the Results page with all the questions, the student’s answer, and the correct answers. This results page can also be printed and turned in during class.

In Class
Class time should be used to review concepts and terms learned that week and answer student questions. Quizzes and exams can be printed and taken in class. Speed drills, memory games using the Rules & Definitions, and Quizlet competitions are also good ways to take advantage of class time.

Student Pricing
Shormann Math courses are licensed per family. Each family pays full price for the first student and a discounted rate ($39*) for each sibling in their household. For example, if Shormann Algebra 1 is purchased for Joe, when Joe’s little brother, John, is ready for Algebra 1 two years later, a sibling subscription can then be purchased for John. The sibling subscription price is the same whether the sibling takes the course concurrently (at the same time as Joe ) or several years later. There is no limit on the amount of time between siblings. For more information see Sibling Subscriptions FAQs for Science eLearning Courses.

Teacher Pricing
An optional Teacher Subscription can be purchased at full price (same as student). This gives the teacher a separate login to view all of their student’s grades and assignments in one class. The teacher can also change student grades and reset assignments. The teacher subscription is a 24-month subscription and can be used to view students in multiple classes. A minimum of four students must be enrolled in Shormann Math courses to set up a Teacher Subscription.
